ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a holistic approach treating health issues, originated from Ancient China over 5000 years ago. Acupuncture works with the body's energy, called 'Qi (氣)'.

The Chinese believes all illnesses are caused by alteration of 'Qi' flow, such as depletion, blocked, or weakened of 'Qi'. Acupuncture will use various techniques to stimulate the specific points called 'acupoints' related to the symptoms or illness present.

Acupuncture may look scary, but when performed correctly, there is not a lot of pain and only a few minor side effects may occur, such as slightly light-headed.

You can avoid these adverse effects by doing the following:

  • do not do acupuncture with empty stomache
  • do not do acupucture after intense exercies
  • do not do acupuncture when you are extremely angery.
  • If you have any bruises or blood bump after acupuncture at the needle site, just apply light pressure and heat at the site, the blood will be absorbed and bruise will go away.
